CHRIS PINE AND JAKE GYLLENHAALL CONFIRMED IN INTO THE WOODS

It was announced that Disney was in the makings of launching to the big screen an adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods. So far, it appears their first goal is to assemble a dream cast.

Meryl Streep, to play the Wicked Witch, and Johnny Depp, to play the Big Bad Wolf were already confirmed, and now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it appears Chris Pine (Princess Diaries 2) and Jake Gyllenhaal (The Prince of Persia) will be portraying two egotistical brothers who are, in fact, Cinderella’s and Rapunzel’s princes respectively.

He is the center of the group; the bridge between all the friends. He is a filmmaker and is having frustration with making movies. He then decides to make a documentary of his friends and to honor his HIV+ friends. Mark definitely has some pent up issues. He is very loyal, driven, and lovelorn. -Anthony Rapp on Mark Cohen
